Role Description

This is a full-time onsite role for Logistic Manager located in Malta. The Logistic Manager will be responsible for maintaining the office and common areas, performing various clerical duties, organizing files, and ensuring guest’s needs are met. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Strategy and Development

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  • managing and ensuring the accuracy of product storage warehouse inventories.
  • use IT systems to manage stock levels, track quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Analyze data from IT systems to evaluate/assess performance and quality and to plan and implement enhancements.
  • Recommend updates to equipment and software that will improve supply flow and delivery time.
  • Responding and resolving any arising issues or complaints.
  • Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers

 

General Task Management

  • Oversee the entire process of a shipment, from acquisition to delivery and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.
  • Discussions and negotiations with goods carriers about shipment costs
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
  • Supervising the process of importing and exporting a product
  • Coordination of manufacturing schedules, storage, and shipment of certain goods and commodities.
  • Correspond with clients, suppliers, warehouses, and transportation hubs to ensure efficiency.
  • Review inventory and logistics reports for accuracy.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Ensure that especially large and/or complex shipments arrive safely.
  • allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs.
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
  • analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions

 

Financial Budget and Control

  • Evaluating budgets and expenditures.

 

Safety Management

  • implement health and safety procedures to guarantee compliance with policies and procedures for health and safety.
  • preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies to Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.

 

People Management

  • manage staff training issues by Coach, train and supervise the logistics team to ensure the smooth run of operations.
  • set objectives and motivate other members of the team.
  • Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an office setting
  • 1-3 years of experience in the same role.
  • Ability to converse in English
  • Ability to communicate politely and professionally with guests and co-workers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Willingness to take initiative and be proactive in ensuring office runs smoothly.
  • Flexibility in handling varying job duties and responsibilities
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
