Job Position Description:

We are searching for a full-time on-site experienced Corporate Lawyer located in Malta. The Corporate Lawyer will handle companies’ legal transactions, partnerships, and projects and will be responsible for providing legal advice to our company, drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, liaising with external lawyers and clients, and representing our company in legal proceedings. The goal is to guarantee that company’s transactions comply with state laws and regulations, while actively helping company avoid possible legal risks and violations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Represent the company in legal proceedings.
Provide legal guidance and advice to the company’s management, executives on a wide range of legal issues and business matters.
Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
Help the company navigate complex legal regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Examine the legal issues related to new products and services.
Provide legal advice on structuring deals and assessing potential risks.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements and legal documents to protect the interests of the company.
Ensure that contracts align with the company’s objectives and protect its interests.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s industry and ensure compliance.
Represent the company in legal disputes, lawsuits, and negotiations.
Identify potential legal risks, potential liabilities faced by the company and propose strategies for risk mitigation. Work proactively to prevent legal issues that may arise in the course of business.
Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
Provide guidance on employment law matters, including labor relations.
Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documentation.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Corporate Lawyer for at least 6+ years.
Excellent knowledge of Maltese corporate and commercial law
Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements.
Excellent research and analytical skills
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written (In English)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
Ability to adapt to changes in legal environments and regulations.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Highly analytical and extreme attention to detail required.
Strong organizational and time management skills

Education Required:

Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited university.
Admitted to the Bar under the laws of Malta and a member of the Chamber of Advocates.
