Role Description

We are currently seeking a full-time on-site role for Accountant at Oil and Gas Trading Ltd located in Malta. As an Accountant, you’re expected to be a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, and extensive experience in preparing and analyzing financial records. Adept at utilizing accounting software and systems. As an integral member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks and reports
Ensure all financial reporting deliverables are completed timely and comply with business and policies and standards, including monthly, quarterly, annual, reportings.
Assist with management of accounting/bookkeeping processes.
Produce accurate and factual reporting to show overall financial health of the business over the accounting period
Assist Sr. Accountant in financial management accounting and reporting procedures to support the company’s strategic business planning and forecasted growth
May support account reconciliations and other bookkeeping services, as needed.

Experience:

Accounting: 4-5 years (Preferred)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance or related field
4-5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Strong financial analysis skills and thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
Highly analytical and extreme attention to detail required
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and to work with a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and accounting software
